Assitant Hourly Trainer - 1st Shift

General Job Description: Creates and delivers training programs on manufacturing processes using a variety of media to ensure efficient knowledge transfer while following all Tyson policies and procedures.  

Responsibilities

• Assess training needs through surveys, consultations with managers, interviews with team members or customers, and other evaluation methods.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external subject matter experts.
• Instruct team members using established training programs and assess performance and progress to determine qualification status.
• Develop training programs to address skill gaps and provide required technical training.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records and documentation.
• Deliver training using a variety of instructional methods and techniques to support effective learning.
• Ensure training materials and courses are accurately translated into Spanish, Hmong, and other languages as needed.
• Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats with team members, leadership, and cross-functional partners.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, customer service, organizational, planning, and multitasking skills.
• Act as a self-starter who can initiate, manage, and complete projects and training initiatives with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 months of experience training others on manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to learn and become proficient in specialized software as required.
• Bilingual skills are preferred.
• Must have no more than four (4) attendance points.
• Must have no more than two (2) written warnings within the last 12 months.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work overtime and/or off-shifts as business needs require.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with brief exposure to temperature extremes ranging from -10°F to 120°F.
• Must be able to comply with all Tyson Foods safety, food safety, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements while performing job duties.
