Job Description

Job Purpose (Job Summary):


Reporting to Invesco Managed Account’s Chief Operating Officer, the Senior SMA Business Manager plays a key role in driving the growth and evolution of Invesco’s Separately Managed Accounts Platform. This role is responsible for leading the execution of strategic initiatives, collaborating across internal and external partners, and driving key platform-level projects. This position plays a critical role in delivering technology- and data-driven enhancements across the platform. The Senior SMA Business Manager partners directly with Investments, Technology, and other teams to provide functional subject matter expertise and translate business needs into the analysis, design, and implementation of technology and business solutions. The successful candidate will bring experience operating in a collaborative environment within financial services or a related field, along with a demonstrated ability to work across departments to identify, prioritize, and execute initiatives that improve the scale and efficiency of the business. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and an ability to operate in a structured, organized, and efficient manner.

 

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

 

·         Independently scope, manage, and execute complex, high-impact initiatives across Invesco’s SMA Platform, including the implementation of new products, systems, and capabilities

 

·         Partner with internal stakeholders on business development opportunities, including new platform placements and custodian onboardings, helping to drive alignment and execution

 

·         Identify and advance opportunities for improvement by defining technical and functional requirements that enhance the processes, infrastructure, and operational framework of Invesco’s SMA Platform

 

·         Engage with external vendors on contracting, scoping, and implementation of systems, custom solutions, and enhancements, helping to drive delivery and accountability

 

·         Represent the business’ needs to key internal partners such as Investment Technology, Front Office Operations, and CRM Enablement, helping to drive alignment on priorities and solutions

 

·         Drive enhancements to business-level dashboards, reporting, and key performance indicators, leveraging data to identify trends, generate insights, and inform decision-making

 

·         Partner with the COO to align SMA business planning to Invesco’s firmwide strategy, translating priorities into the SMA roadmap, project prioritization, and ongoing progress tracking

 

Work Experience / Knowledge:

·         5+ years’ experience in investment management, technology, project or product management, strategic planning, or related experience

 

·         Proven track record of developing and executing project, business, and/or strategic plans

 

·         Experience with financial markets, investment concepts and separately managed accounts

 

·         Experience working in an agile environment with multiple workstreams and stakeholders

 

·         Existing knowledge of CRM and financial software, such as Salesforce, SS&C Advent/Eze and InvestorTools Products is a plus

The salary range for this position in Seattle, WA is $125,000 - 155,000 Base/year. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience and location
