Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Infosec Site Reliability Engineering professional to design and implement foundational SRE practices, establish incident management frameworks, and drive adoption of reliability standards across security and engineering teams.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Design and implement foundational SRE practices including SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and incident management frameworks
- Partner with InfoSec and engineering teams to define reliability standards, operating models, and establish SRE adoption roadmaps
- Design incident response processes and escalation models; integrate and optimize alerting and on-call workflows using PagerDuty
- Develop and maintain operational runbooks, playbooks, and automate incident workflows and reporting
- Lead incident reviews and postmortems with a focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement
- Design and execute chaos engineering experiments to identify failure modes and validate system resilience improvements
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve fault tolerance, recovery strategies, and implement self-healing mechanisms
- Provide mentorship and guidance on SRE principles to drive organizational adoption of reliability best practices
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering roles
- Demonstrated expertise in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and on-premises infrastructure integrations
- Proficiency with monitoring and observability platforms (NewRelic, Prometheus, Grafana) and incident management systems (PagerDuty)
- Experience with enterprise ITSM platforms (ServiceNow) and incident workflow automation
- Strong expertise in automation scripting and runbook generation
- Proven track record designing and implementing system reliability, performance, and scalability improvements
- Experience with chaos engineering, failure mode analysis, and proactive resilience validation
