Description
This Short Term Assignment offers the opportunity to help shape ING's sustainability narrative and reporting strategy. You will work at the crossroads of sustainability, finance, regulations and stakeholder engagement, helping ING determine what we report, how we measure success and how we communicate our progress to investors, regulators and other external stakeholders.
You will collaborate with colleagues from across the bank and contribute directly to strategic discussions on sustainability performance, reporting and transformation. A key aspect of this role is translating complex sustainability topics into meaningful disclosures, messaging and insights that shape how ING is perceived externally.
The team
The ESG Reporting team consists of three colleagues and is part of Group Finance. We are responsible for coordinating and safeguarding ESG and non-financial external reporting across ING.
We work closely with Sustainability, Risk, Strategy, Investor Relations, Communications, Legal, Compliance, service organisations and business teams throughout the organisation. As a result, this role provides broad exposure across the bank and the opportunity to build a strong internal network while contributing to topics that receive senior management attention.
Our team combines expertise in reporting, governance, regulations and stakeholder management.
Roles and responsibilities
In this role, you will contribute to a variety of strategic and reporting-related initiatives, depending on your starting date, which may include:
Support the development of ESG and non-financial disclosures for external and internal stakeholders.
Translate sustainability developments, regulatory requirements and business developments into clear reporting and communication.
Partner with stakeholders across the bank to define, monitor and improve sustainability metrics and reporting methodologies.
Contribute to the annual reporting process, including governance, stakeholder coordination and disclosure development.
Support the enhancement of reporting processes, controls and data quality across the ESG reporting landscape.
Identify opportunities to improve reporting through simplification, automation and innovation.
