Production Line Lead

Job Summary
The Production Line Lead oversees daily operations of a production or packaging line, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while leading a team on the floor. This is a hands-on role that requires working alongside employees, troubleshooting issues, and keeping production on track. This position is physically demanding and requires standing for long periods (up to 90% of the shift), lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in hot and cold environments. Candidates must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and support a production line team
- Monitor production performance, quality, and safety
- Set up lines and ensure proper operation throughout the shift
- Troubleshoot issues and partner with maintenance when needed
- Track production metrics such as output, waste, and downtime
- Train and support employees, including cross-training team members
- Identify and help improve workflow and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and company policies
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual (English required; Spanish is a plus)
- Flexible schedule (including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed)
- Previous experience as a Line Lead or similar role in manufacturing
- Food manufacturing experience is a plus
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable coaching and directing team members
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
