Wong Group on X-ray & Free Electron Quantum Nanophotonics is one of the leading research groups in the world on X-ray photonics, having been recognized as a 2024 Falling Walls Winner in Physical Sciences for “Breaking the Wall of Quantum X-ray Tech” by the Falling Walls Foundation. We are seeking a Research Fellow to spearhead cutting-edge research in the experimental study of free-electron-driven X-ray photonics, with the goal of using such a source to achieve X-ray phase-contrast imaging on a table-top scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform experiments on free-electron-driven X-ray nanophotonics and phase-contrast imaging in customized scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) setups
Lead papers and publish in high-impact journals
Present at top-tier international conferences
Job Requirements:
PhD degree in physics, engineering or related field
Familiarity with vacuum electronics and free-electron-based devices
