Northeeastern Co-Op Students: Are you interested in using AI, data, and automation to improve how companies hire, support, and develop employees?

 

As an HR AI & Operations Co-op, you’ll join IDC’s Human Resources team and work on high-impact projects that combine people analytics, process automation, and emerging AI tools. This is a hands-on opportunity to build real solutions that improve recruiting, compensation, reporting, and employee support.

 

You’ll collaborate with teams across Talent Acquisition, Compensation, HR Operations, and HRIS to modernize how HR operates — making processes smarter, faster, and more data-driven.

 

What You’ll Work On

• Talent Acquisition Processes & Automation across current tools as well as make recommendations and solution for challenges with no current tools.
• Maintain created requisition request website
• Additional duties as assigned

• You’ll be paired with a mentor for regular check-ins and guidance throughout the co-op. The experience will conclude with a presentation of your projects and impact to IDC’s HR leadership team.

What We’re Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a graduate or upper-level undergraduate program in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related quantitative field
• HR, Business, or related majors with strong technical coursework or hands-on analytics/automation project experience are also encouraged to apply
• Proficiency in Excel required; familiarity with Power BI, SQL, Python, or automation tools is a plus
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) in coursework, internships, or personal projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Comfortable working with data and collaborating across technical and business teams
• Clear communicator with curiosity and initiative

Compensation Transparency

At IDC, we are committed to fair and equitable pay practices. Employees are compensated equitably for their work, aligned with their skills and experience. Salary and incentive structures are determined through a rigorous process that considers experience, education, certifications, role-specific requirements, internal equity, and verified U.S. market data from an independent third-party partner.

The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $25.00-$35.00/per hour for a defined period.
