Reporting to the University Registrar, the Senior Associate Registrar provides senior-level leadership within the Office of the University Registrar for the LHVN campus. This position oversees complex academic record operations, regulatory compliance, and student information processes that support undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs, including nursing and other health professions programs.This position works collaboratively with academic leadership, including the College of Nursing and College of Health Professions, to ensure accurate management of student academic records and compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations at the LHVN campus.
The Senior Associate University Registrar serves as a strategic partner in the development and implementation of policies, systems, and procedures that support student success while maintaining the integrity and security of academic records.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Office Management
- Provide leadership within the Registrar’s Office, which may include records management, degree audit, enrollment reporting, graduation certification, and registration services.
- Serve as a senior advisor to the University Registrar on strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and policy development at the LHVN campus.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures that ensure efficient and accurate student records management.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
- Oversee reporting and compliance related to enrollment verification and student data reporting through organizations such as the National Student Clearinghouse.
- Maintain adherence to standards and best practices recommended by American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation reporting requirements.
Academic Records and Student Information Systems
- Oversee the maintenance and integrity of the Banner Student Information System (SIS) and related academic records systems.
- Manage implementation and optimization of technologies supporting:
- degree audit
- curriculum management
- scheduling
- transcript production
- electronic records
- Collaborate with IT and institutional research teams to ensure data accuracy and reporting integrity.
Graduation and Degree Certification
- Oversee the evaluation and certification of degree requirements for undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs, including nursing cohorts.
- Ensure timely posting of degrees and conferral reporting.
- Coordinate graduation clearance processes with academic departments and advising units.
Policy Development and Institutional Collaboration
- Develop and interpret academic policies related to registration, grading, academic standing, and degree conferral.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5–10 years of progressive experience in a Registrar’s Office or academic records environment.
- Demonstrated experience supervising staff and managing complex operational processes.
- Knowledge of FERPA regulations and higher education compliance requirements.
- Experience working with Student Information Systems (e.g., Banner, PeopleSoft, Colleague, Workday Student).
- Ability to interpret and implement academic policies and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting health professions or nursing programs in higher education.
- Experience with degree audit systems and curriculum management platforms.
