This position reports to:
Business Controller__
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support in all financial and commercial matters related to the project. Each day, you will actively drive their respective project’s performance. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing project invoices and financial accounting and reporting (including project site accounting) documents.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Driving revenues and project cash flow in your assigned project and seeking for optimization.
Overseeing currency risk in project cash flow and implementing/suggesting appropriate mitigation measures.
Supporting in coordinating and preparing project reviews, cost reports, claim management, back-charges, and insurance cases.
Assisting the project team in identifying risks and opportunities, and in ensuring adherence to ABB’s corporate governance, assurance, internal controls, and business specific finance directives and instructions.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
Experience: 5–8+ years of relevant professional experience in project controlling, financial forecasting, or cost accounting.
Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially advanced Excel functions) and hands-on experience with SAP ERP.
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to proactively manage budget deviations and forecast potential financial impacts.
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate financial jargon into clear, accessible insights for non-financial team members.
Preferred Skills & Nice-to-Haves
Previous experience working in the project controlling role.
Master’s degree in a relevant field or professional credentials (e.g., CPA, CMA, or PMP certification).
Familiarity with various cost estimation techniques, such as analogous or bottom-up estimating.
