Description
- Provides excellent customer service in person and telephonically; professionally corresponds with customers via email and/or mail
- Answers incoming phone calls; determines and undertakes routing to party; records and delivers messages
- Properly handles cash and provides correct change according to office policy. Daily, balance payments processed in conjunction with money received to the penny following established office procedures; reconciles discrepancies
- Processes and verifies tax payments received
- Accurately posts real estate and personal property taxes including tax lien redemptions, flags parcels as required, maintains event-tracking records
- Verifies refunds for accuracy before mailing
- Selects and processes records for purging as per Arizona General Record Retention Schedule guidelines
- Sorts and files correspondence, forms, reports, and other materials; maintains and creates records and reports
- Prepares routine correspondence, forms, correction letters, balance reminders, and refund checks; operates and maintains a variety of office equipment
- Conducts research to identify and resolve errors
- Maintains high standards of confidentiality regarding client and sensitive information
- Performs other duties as assigned

Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 60% sitting, 20% walking and 20% standing. Working at a computer monitor for extended periods required. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and under extreme likelihood of harsh criticism from hostile and frustrated customers.High School diploma or GED; AND one-year experience in data entry, computer operations, or other relevant clerical support experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience; prior experience in a government setting preferred; AND a valid driver’s license. Requires successful completion of a background check.
