SUMMARY OF POSITION

As an integral member of a small, impactful HR team, the HR Manager will partner closely with leaders and employees to deliver exceptional HR support, balancing strategic partnership with operational execution, leading full-cycle recruiting, advising managers on employee relations and talent matters, supporting performance management and talent planning, and benefits, wellness, and engagement initiatives. Success in this role requires strong business acumen, sound judgment, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a passion for continuous improvement through data, technology, and process optimization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Talent Acquisition
Lead full-cycle recruitment across a variety of corporate functions, from sourcing through onboarding.
Partner with hiring managers to understand business needs, develop recruitment strategies, and deliver outstanding candidate experience.
Build diverse talent pipelines and utilize data and recruiting metrics to evaluate hiring effectiveness and continuously improve recruiting outcomes.
HR Business Partnership
Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees on HR policies, employee relations, performance, and organizational effectiveness.
Coach managers on employee development, performance conversations, conflict resolution, and workplace issues.
Support organizational changes, team effectiveness, and employee engagement initiatives.
Help foster an inclusive, high-performance culture aligned with Host’s EPIC values.
Performance Management & Talent Development
Support the performance management process, including process administration, manager and employee education, and employee communication.
Support talent planning and succession planning discussions by providing insights and data.
Identify development opportunities and collaborate on learning and career growth initiatives.
Employee Relations
Provide guidance on employee relations matters with professionalism, objectivity, and confidentiality.
Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
Ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices.
Benefits, Wellness & Employee Experience
Support administration and communication of employee benefits and wellness programs.
Partner on employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and culture initiatives.
HR Operations & Continuous Improvement
Leverage HRIS and other HR technologies to maintain data integrity, generate meaningful analytics, and produce actionable insights.
Develop reports and dashboards that support workforce planning and business decisions.
Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the employee and manager experience through automation and technology.
Support compliance with employment laws and company policies.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
At least five (5) years of progressive HR Generalist experience, including serving as a business partner and full-cycle recruiting.
Demonstrated experience advising managers on employee relations and performance management.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR metrics and translate data into actionable recommendations.
Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Workday experience preferred).
Passion for leveraging technology and AI to improve HR processes and enhance organizational effectiveness.
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
