Newberry House Montessori School, based on Lourensford Estate in Somerset West, offers authentic Montessori and Cambridge International education in a healthy environment with real-life learning experiences for learners from 18 months to 18 years. We are seeking to appoint a Cambridge Business Studies and Accountancy Educator to join our Upper School Team from January 2027. Newberry House is an accredited Cambridge International examination centre and school. Position Purpose/Summary

Newberry House offers an authentic Montessori adolescent programme, underpinned by the Cambridge International Lower Secondary curriculum for our Grade 7-9 learners. This is followed by the Cambridge IGCSE and AS-level curriculum in Grades 10-12. The Educator will facilitate learning in the following areas:

● Subjects: Cambridge Business Studies (IGCSE & AS-Level), Accounting (IGCSE) ● Enrichment: Physical Expression (PE), Enrichment (student-led ventures), High School Camp, Extracurricular ● Curriculum: Contribution to the ongoing development of the Newberry Business Studies and Entrepreneurial

offering Requirements

● Qualifications: BEd/PGCE (specialisation in Business Studies / Accountancy preferred) ● Experience: High School Business Studies and Accountancy teaching experience (Cambridge curriculum

experience advantageous) ● Compliance: SACE registration; Police clearance ● Teaching emphasis: Active, student-led learning, critical thinking, 21st century skills ● Montessori Experience: Commitment to continual growth in understanding Montessori philosophy and its

application in a High School context ● Skills: Growth mindset and adaptability; excellent interpersonal, communication and administrative skills;
