Overview

The Claims Agent II is responsible for reviewing claims from intake through resolution while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and a high standard of service. The role also involves cross-functional coordination, reporting, mentoring less experienced agents, and contributing to process improvements and risk mitigation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key liaison with clients, gathering essential information, delivering timely updates, and clearly communicating claim outcomes. Address inquiries and resolve escalations with professionalism, ensuring a high standard of customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of claim documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with policy terms and coverage limits. Make informed eligibility determinations and maintain precise records in the claims management system, upholding regulatory and internal compliance standards
  • Partner with internal stakeholders—including underwriting, legal, and finance—to drive efficient and fair claim resolutions. Coordinate with external vendors, adjusters, and third-party partners to streamline the claims lifecycle and ensure service excellence.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of claims and related communications. Generate and analyze reports to identify trends, operational risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Stay current on industry regulations, internal policies, and evolving best practices. Proactively identify potential fraud or compliance issues and escalate appropriately to mitigate organizational risk.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of claims workflows and procedures. Provide actionable feedback to enhance operational efficiency and elevate the overall customer journey.

Qualifications

  • Education• High School degree or GED (Required) • Some College/Associate's Degree or higher (Preferred) Experience• 3+ years experience in claims administration within the logistics industry. (Required) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail Medium• Must be able to work in a team setting, across multiple time zones and global geographies Medium• Ability to determine resources to meet and exceed company and customer expectations Medium• Ability to problem solve and be solution oriented Medium• Individual must have a self-starter mentality and is adaptive and flexible Medium• Computer Skills Medium
