Computing Technical Project Manager
Applied Material Computing Development Group is seeking a highly talented Technical Project Manager to join our exciting endeavors in developing the next-gen computing systems for Applied Materials products.
Our Group: Computing Product Development
Applied Materials PDC (Process Diagnostics and Control) division designs, develops, manufactures, and supports complex multidisciplinary machines for the semiconductor industry. These machines contain a large number of computing modules, including servers, storage, and network equipment.
The computing development group research, designs and develops computing modules in the R&D phase for NPI & SPI. Once the product completes its development phase, our group takes it into the productization phase for high-volume manufacturing.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead and orchestrate large-scale computing development projects.
- Manage multiple projects in parallel, coordinating with various stakeholders and synchronizing resources to meet commitments in a dynamic, agile environment.
- Interface with both internal and cross-organizational stakeholders to develop, maintain, and execute project plans in alignment with requirements, resources, budgets, and timelines.
- Partner closely with computing product development teams across the organization, including architects and hardware, software, mechanical, electrical, and safety engineers.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project progress, risks, challenges, and mitigation plans.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, efficiency, and project outcomes.
- Address complex challenges and obstacles throughout the project lifecycle. Apply strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes, implement effective solutions, and ensure projects remain on track and achieve their objectives.
- Present project milestones, status updates, and strategic initiatives with confidence and credibility to senior leadership, while maintaining a deep understanding of the underlying technical details.
What should you have?
- 7+ years of experience managing large-scale technical projects involving multidisciplinary teams across multiple domains in an agile environment.
- B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong technical understanding of complex systems, architectures, dependencies, and technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proactive mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills in both Hebrew and English.
- Ability to manage complex, high-risk situations and develop effective mitigation plans.
- Knowledge of material management processes, including procurement, inventory management, and budget control.
- Familiarity with the IT industry, including servers, networking, storage, and security technologies, is a strong advantage.
