As a Security Officer Entrance Access - Unarmed in Hartsville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing badge access, and documenting security-related activity. You will provide outstanding customer service while remaining a visible presence that helps deter incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized individuals in accordance with established procedures.
• Observe access points, respond to unauthorized-entry attempts, alarms, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, and promptly notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of access-control activities, incidents, and unusual conditions, following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
