Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Maintenance Trainer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.

Please note that this opportunity is contingent on program funding. Start dates are determined after funding confirmation

Key Responsibilities:

• Establishes and directs a training system and/or conducts classroom and practical instruction to provide technical knowledge for the safe maintenance, repair, and operation of aircraft, aircraft systems, ground equipment, tools, test equipment, stores and facilities, according to established procedures

• May analyze current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop training programs

• Writes, edits, and produces materials for technical instruction

• Provides assistance and support to all divisions in helping them determine their training needs and develop and conduct their maintenance training programs

• Establishes and directs the maintenance of a training and qualification record system

• Maintains currency in technical developments, technical training, and audiovisual techniques including the maintenance of company aircraft instruction manuals

• Coordinates all required technical training

Basic Qualifications:

• Level 3: High School Diploma/GED and 9 years of experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience OR a Master’s Degree and 3 years of experience
• Level 4: High School Diploma/GED and 12 years of experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of experience OR a Master’s Degree and 6 years of experience
• Experience should be in training and/or maintenance
• Experience with courseware sustainment
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
• Must be able to travel to various locations for initial training for a minimum of 24 weeks prior to relocating to the permanent location
• Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a USAF or Equivalent Mx Training Flight
• Basic Instructor Course or international instructor cert
• Experience with training content development principles: ADDIE (analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate).

Primary Level Salary Range: $85,600.00 - $128,400.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $106,800.00 - $160,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
