Overview
The Hospitality and Cultural Programs Specialist is responsible for creating a welcoming, informative, and culturally enriching environment for all visitors and on-site guests. This position ensures the facility and short-term rental apartments are clean, organized, and fully operational while delivering superior guest services. The Specialist promotes awareness of cultural, historical, and community resources through engaging interactions, accurate information sharing, and well-maintained exhibits and artifacts. Responsibilities include preparing and serving food and specialty coffee beverages, maintaining audiovisual and facility equipment, monitoring inventory, and adhering to health and safety standards.
In addition, the Specialist serves as a concierge for guests staying at the facility, providing personalized assistance, local recommendations, and responsive support to ensure a comfortable and memorable experience. Through collaboration with community partners and attention to detail, the Specialist enhances the overall visitor experience and upholds a positive public image. The Specialist will be required to reside on the property to provide consistent oversight, enhanced guest support, and immediate response to operational needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent required.
- Three (3) years of experience in Hospitality, Tourism, Food & Beverage Services, and/or a cultural facility museum or cultural center required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide concierge-style guest assistance required.
- Experience in retail sales required.
- Basic knowledge of language, cultural, historical, or community resources relevant to the Osage Nation preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Required to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol and background screening.
- Required to maintain a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities
COMMUNICATION:
- Greets guest promptly, providing attentive and friendly service.
- Makes efforts to keep informed of company information and communications by reviewing property bulletin boards, and digital signage.
DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS:
- Cleans, organizes, and creates a welcoming environment for short-term rental apartments, building interior, building exterior, coffee shop, restrooms, and shared facilities.
- Prepares and serves food and specialty coffee beverages following established procedures.
- Greets visitors and provides concierge-level service, including local recommendations and personalized assistance.
- Ensures audiovisual equipment and facility systems are operational and report maintenance needs.
- Promotes awareness of cultural, historical, and community resources.
- Regularly reviews local, state, and regional tourism websites to ensure the Visitor Center is accurately listed and to identify updates needed for local information.
- Prepare beverages according to established recipes and quality standards noting guest preferences such as coffee blends, dairy, and sugar ratios.
- Serves beverages and food items efficiently and professionally.
- Processes guest payments, including cash and credit card transactions, accurately and securely.
- Ensures coffee shop is stocked with an adequate supply of clean mugs, plates, and utensils throughout shift.
- Monitors brewing and kitchen equipment to ensure proper operation and report maintenance issues as needed.
- Follows and adheres to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor inventory and coordinate procurement of necessary supplies.
- Collaborate with community leaders, local businesses, and partners to enhance visitor experience.
- Present historical or educational programs to visitors and groups.
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
GUEST SERVICE:
- Provides excellent internal and external guest services, always treating internal and external guests with courtesy and consideration.
- Cooperates and communicates with all fellow employees, always exhibiting mutual respect and consistently projecting a positive, helpful image/attitude.
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE:
- Follows all federal, state, and local occupational safety and health regulations (OSHA standards).
- Complies with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations when preparing or serving food and beverages.
- Maintains a safe environment for guests, staff, and business partners reporting hazards promptly.
- Complies with applicable advertising and marketing laws, avoiding false or misleading statements.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Must be willing and able to reside on property as a condition of employment.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Read Company or departmental reports, newsletters, and documents.
- Perform basic mathematical computations (add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.)
- Protect the Company’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Perform assigned tasks under limited supervision. Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Prepare written reports and correspondence as required.
- Work well alone or within a team.
- Utilize MS Office products at basic (create new documents, open/edit existing documents) to intermediate (import/export data, create templates) skill level.
- Exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job duties and responsibilities.
- See problems and avoid situations that could be deemed illegal or represent a safety hazard to fellow employees or guests.
- Respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, guests, regulatory agencies, and others.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
