Job Description
Develops software applications using platforms such as Java or .NET by building modular application layers, implementing business logic, and designing user-facing features. Integrates external APIs, manages session handling, and applies state management techniques. Conducts code reviews for maintainability, writes automated tests for critical workflows, and tunes application performance for scalability. Designs and implements data models or reporting features as required. Documents architectural decisions, prepares deployment scripts, and collaborates with QA to resolve defects prior to release. Supports application monitoring and provides technical input for feature enhancements throughout the software lifecycle.Roles & Responsibilities

About the Role
We are seeking a ServiceNow Developer III to join our team and play a key role in designing, developing, configuring, and supporting scalable ServiceNow solutions. In this role, you will work closely with Product Managers, stakeholders, and technical teams to translate business requirements into secure, maintainable, and high-performing platform capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and platform capabilities.
- Build and customize solutions using Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer, and server-side scripting.
- Develop and support integrations with external systems using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, and MID Servers.
- Manage and support CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, and data quality initiatives.
- Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, sprint planning, and Agile delivery activities.
- Support platform upgrades, patching, release testing, and deployment activities.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure platform stability.
- Contribute to DevOps practices, including source control, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, process flows, and configuration guides.
- Ensure solutions comply with security, governance, audit, and FedRAMP requirements.
- Provide platform administration support, including user access, role management, and system maintenance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, support teams, and vendors to deliver high-quality ServiceNow solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Hands-on experience developing and supporting ServiceNow solutions using JavaScript and Glide APIs.
- Working knowledge of CMDB concepts and Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
- Experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, IRM/GRC, Employee Center, or custom scoped applications.
- Experience developing integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, OAuth, Integration Hub, and MID Servers.
- Familiarity with App Engine Studio, UI Builder, Service Portal, and Workspaces.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Understanding of platform data models, automation frameworks, and scalable solution design principles.
- Ability to support platform administration, configuration, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification required.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with ServiceNow modules such as ITOM, Discovery, HAM (Hardware Asset Management), SAM (Software Asset Management), and IRM/GRC.
- Experience participating in ServiceNow platform upgrades, patching, regression testing, and release validation activities.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including source control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes.
- Experience working within regulated or security-focused environments such as FedRAMP.
- Proven ability to independently deliver moderate to complex ServiceNow enhancements and projects.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.
- Experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to development best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical documentation skills.
