Position Summary:
The Fitness Center at the Buffalo Grove Park District is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a part-time Member Services staff member. This position provides administrative and customer service support for the Fitness Center and plays an important role in ensuring accurate daily operations and a positive experience for our members and guests.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, be comfortable working with computers and administrative systems, and enjoy assisting members and working as part of a team.
Schedule: 3-4 days/evenings per week, 15-20 hours per week. Weekends Required.
Essential Functions:
• Review and reconcile daily business transactions and sales totals for accuracy.
• Maintain and update membership tracking logs and records.
• Process and track membership cancellations, freezes, and other membership changes.
• Assist with membership account questions, billing concerns, and general membership inquiries.
• Provide administrative support related to memberships, member accounts, and Fitness Center operations.
• Support front desk staff and assist with member and guest needs as needed.
• Assist current and prospective members with information regarding memberships, Fitness Center services, programs, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and confidential member information and documentation.
• Respond professionally to members’ questions and concerns in person, by phone, and through email.
• Communicate with Fitness Center staff and supervisors regarding membership issues or account concerns requiring additional attention.
• Complete data entry, filing, recordkeeping, and other general administrative duties.
• Help maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming environment for members and guests.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the daily operations of the Fitness Center.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn membership management, registration, and point-of-sale software.
Pay:
$18.50 -19.50 per hour
