Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens opened in March 2019 and provides a preferred address for both business and leisure travelers, and the highly personalized, anticipatory service that Four Seasons guests expect and value around the world. The Arion Hotel was built in 1967 and has 106 keys and 61 Bungalows, and the Nafsika opened in 1980 and has 136 keys. Under the same ownership is a large private beach club and marina. Nafsika is open through the year, while Arion and the bungalows operate eight months of the year. Adding to the complement of on-site F&B operations (8 Restaurants and Bars), there are also two third party restaurants on site.

About the Role

 

Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens, ranked No. 27 in The 50 Best Hotels 2026, is seeking a Hotel Manager to join its Planning Committee. The Hotel Manager will lead all hotel operations personnel, directly supervising key members of the Management Team and indirectly overseeing other management and non-management employees. The role carries responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of guests and employees, as well as accountability for personnel decisions, hotel assets, personal property and the results of their use. The Hotel Manager will also represent the hotel in its dealings with civic organizations, the business community, industry groups and local government.

 

What you will do

 

• Lead and coordinate the hotel’s day-to-day operations.
• Directly supervise the Director of Rooms and the Director of Food and Beverage, while providing leadership across all operational departments.
• Ensure an exceptional guest experience by engaging with guests, reviewing feedback, and resolving service issues.
• Ensure Four Seasons standards, policies, and procedures are consistently followed throughout the hotel.
• Review revenue, labor, and financial performance, and take action to achieve operational and financial goals.
• Control operating expenses and capital expenditures in line with established guidelines.
• Partner with People and Culture on staffing, recruitment, employee development, morale, and performance matters.
• Ensure the hotel is well maintained through effective housekeeping, engineering, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Protect the health, safety, and welfare of guests and employees, and lead the response to emergencies or crises.
• Assume the General Manager’s responsibilities and authority in their absence, while maintaining a strong working relationship with the hotel’s owners.

 

What you bring

 

• Extensive experience in a senior operational Leadership Role within a luxury Hotel or Resort, with a strong understanding of both Rooms and Food & Beverage operations.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop Department Heads and diverse teams in a complex hotel environment.
• Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgets, profit-and-loss statements, forecasts, labor costs, and capital expenditures.
• A track record of delivering exceptional Guest Experiences while maintaining operational standards and managing safety or crisis situations effectively.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English.
