Facilities Maintenance HVAC Technician
Pay: DOE (Depending on Experience)
Shift: 1st Shift / Primarily Days
Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance HVAC Technician to support the maintenance and operation of a manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, and other facility equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facility equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot commercial HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, circulation fans, and environmental control systems.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Respond to facility maintenance requests and support day-to-day building operations.
- Maintain accurate equipment and maintenance records using a CMMS system.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Assist with commercial HVAC installations and repairs.
- Perform or assist with plumbing repairs and gas line installation and maintenance.
- Support building automation controls and environmental systems.
- Assist with facility improvement and maintenance projects.
Qualifications
Required:
- Commercial HVAC installation and maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage maintenance priorities.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and reliable attendance.
Preferred Certifications & Training
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification
- NFPA 70 Arc Flash Training
- Liebert Environmental Cooling Systems Training
- Low Pressure Chiller Training
- Ohio Fire Detection License
- Building Automation Controls Training
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including 8–12 hours per shift.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when required by business needs.
- Ability to safely perform hands-on maintenance and repair work in a facility environment.
