Join our award-winning team at Hastings Senior Health & Living as a Full-Time Cook! Your passion for cooking nutritious and appetizing meals will be highly valued by our residents. 

As a Cook at Hastings Senior Health & Living you will be working in a commercial kitchen to make specialized meals for our residents. This can include working with dietary needs that require diabetic, low-sodium and pureed meals along with batch cooking. You will ensure that all food preparation and cooking activities comply with health, cleanliness, and safety regulations.

Position Type: Full-Time position working a varied rotating schedule which includes every other weekend and every other holiday.  

Shifts Available:
Evening 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM

Wage Range: $20.68 – $26.97 per hour depending on experience

Location: 930 West 16th Street, Hastings, MN 55033

We are located near the cities of Cottage Grove, Inver Grove Heights, South St. Paul, Rosemount, Woodbury and Prescott, Wisconsin.

Cook Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional service to residents by providing fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
• Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.
• Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.
• Observe and report on resident change of condition or changes in ability.
• Participate in meetings and required training to maintain regulatory standards of food service at the community.
• Inspect kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

• 1+ year commercial cooking/ food preparation experience required.
• Selected candidates are required to pass background checks.
• Must be able to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Ability to stand for length of shift.
• Baking experience a plus!
