Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced professional to lead the complete Stores, Warehouse, Logistics and Inventory Management function for our heavy engineering manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in handling raw materials such as forgings, castings, fabricated structures, bought-out components, and heavy engineering equipment, along with proven success in cost optimization, inventory control, ERP-driven warehouse management and team leadership.
Lead end-to-end warehouse and stores operations.
Ensure efficient receipt, storage, preservation and issue of materials.
Implement best practices in warehouse layout and material flow
Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counting and periodic audits.
Monitor stock levels, reorder points and inventory ageing.
Reduce excess, slow-moving and non-moving inventory. Ensure optimum inventory carrying cost.
Manage inbound and outbound logistics. Coordinate transportation of heavy engineering equipment and project materials.
Optimize freight and logistics costs, Ensure timely dispatches and customer deliveries.
Develop and implement cost-reduction initiatives. Improve inventory turns and warehouse productivity.
Drive lean warehousing practices.
Monitor generation, segregation and disposal of scrap. Maximize scrap recovery value.
Maintain compliance with statutory and company policies.
Ensure effective utilization of ERP systems (ERP Next, etc.). Drive digitization and process improvements.
Establish KPI-based warehouse performance monitoring.
Lead and mentor warehouse, stores and logistics teams. Build a high-performance culture focused on safety, productivity and accuracy.
Desired Candidate Profile
BE – Mechanical, Production, with 15+ yrs of relevant experience stores, Warehouse, Inventory and Logistics functions.
Strong exposure to Heavy Engineering, EPCM, Material Handling Equipment, Mining Equipment, Crushers, Cement Equipment, Steel Plant Equipment, Industrial Machinery or Capital Goods manufacturing.
