Position Summary
To oversee the daily operations and supervision of staff within the applicable Practice (s) under the general guidance of the Dir, Physician Services.
Education
Associate's degree in business administration, Nursing, or healthcare related field. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience
Prior experience in lieu of degree may be acceptable at the discretion of senior management. Minimum of 2 years supervisory/management experience in a physician's practice preferred. Previous experience in a physician's management practice setting and demonstrated working knowledge of the operations of medical practice required
Skills
- Membership and certification in a national physician practice management association is encouraged.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills required.
- Proven critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Computer literacy in a Windows-based environment.
- Working knowledge of standard office equipment, including telephones (cell phones), personal computers and software, fax machines, copiers, VCRs, overhead projectors, LCD projectors, and PDAs.
- Knowledge of word processing and database management applications, including Microsoft Office, Meditech, and ACT!.
- Outstanding interpersonal, service excellence, and customer service skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively present information to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to convey information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to create, maintain, and support a high-functioning team.
- Ability to establish and foster cooperative working relationships with staff and management and function effectively as part of a team.
