Description

Reporting to the Director of Professional Learning, the Professional Learning Coordinator supports the delivery of Professional Learning programs and assists with creating training and curriculum materials. This role is ideal for someone highly organized and detail-oriented, takes pride in keeping programs running smoothly, and is eager to grow their instructional design and facilitation skills within a collaborative, mission-driven team.


​​Role and Responsibilities​

▪ Coordinate the logistics and delivery of Professional Learning events, including scheduling, venue and materials
preparation, enrollment, and on-site support to ensure sessions run smoothly.
▪ Assist in creating and formatting Professional Learning curriculums, resources, and materials tailored to the needs of UCP
Seguin employees under guidance from the Director of Professional Learning and the Professional Learning Administrator.
▪ Communicate with participants, presenters, and stakeholders to provide information about Professional Learning
opportunities, schedules, and requirements.
▪ Organize and distribute resources, materials, and technology tools needed for Professional Learning sessions.
▪ Design and produce marketing materials, including training flyers and announcements, to promote Professional Learning
programs and drive staff enrollment in alignment with agency branding and communications guidelines.
▪ Manage day-to-day registration and enrollment operations for Professional Learning activities, including tracking
attendance and maintaining participant records.
▪ Serve as a facilitator for Professional Learning programs, including CPR/First Aid, workplace skills, and other professional
development topics.
▪ Provide support and assistance to facilitators and participants before, during, and after Professional Learning events.
▪ Assist in collecting and organizing data related to participant feedback, program evaluations, and performance metrics.
▪ Provide technical support and training to participants using technology platforms and tools for virtual or blended learning
experiences.
▪ Maintain accurate documentation of Professional Learning activities, including agendas, presentations, and evaluation
reports.
▪ Perform administrative tasks such as preparing reports, maintaining databases, and coordinating meetings related to
Professional Learning initiatives.
▪ Stay abreast of current research, trends, and best practices in Learning & Development.
▪ Participate in the exploration and implementation of technology tools and platforms to enhance the delivery and
accessibility of Professional Learning experiences.
▪ Assist with reviewing Professional Learning programs for culturally responsive and inclusive content, recognizing the
diverse backgrounds, experiences, and needs of learners.
▪ Support compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing Professional Learning activities,
including issues related to confidentiality and intellectual property.
▪ Maintain individual training records for all staff, helping to ensure that such files meet regulations for OSHA and other
Federal, State, and other applicable regulatory and accreditation agencies.
▪ Support with preparing reports and documentation for OSHA, Federal, State, and other regulatory and accreditation
agencies.
▪ Assist in the development of Professional Learning programs, workshops, and seminars by contributing ideas, resources,
and materials.
▪ Perform other duties as assigned

 


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design or related field OR professional experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Education, Social Service, or Learning & Development
  • Two years of professional work experience
  • Experience with creating training materials, including but not limited to job aids, presentation slides, assessment activities, etc.
  • Experience facilitating training and/or learning events for adults
  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Instructional Design Knowledge
  • Editing and proof readings skills
  • Knowledge of AI tools for content creation tools (i.e. OwlyWriter, ChatGPT, Dall-E, Midjourney, Jasper AI, Canva, Synthesia, Murf, etc.)
  • Knowledge of current and best practice for eLearning
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Experience in audio/narration editing
  • One year working with people with developmental disabilities
  • Certified First Aid/C.P.R. Trainer
  • Ability to work with limited direct supervision and efficiently manage tasks and time
