Description

Overview

A warm, family-oriented household in Miami is seeking an experienced, loving Nanny/Governess to join their childcare team on a long-term basis. The family values genuine warmth, flexibility, and a true sense of partnership with the role. They are looking for someone who wants to grow with the family and become a lasting, trusted presence in the children's lives, not simply someone filling a position for a short stretch.

The family is open to either a live-in or live-out arrangement depending on the right candidate, with housing being a secondary consideration to finding the best overall fit. Local candidates are preferred, though the family will consider an exceptional candidate from further away who is open to relocating.

Responsibilities

  • Provide warm, hands-on, attentive care for the children
  • Support daily routines, activities, and age-appropriate enrichment
  • Work collaboratively and harmoniously with other household staff and caregivers
  • Maintain flexibility with scheduling as family needs evolve
  • Assist with light cooking, such as breakfasts and snacks, as needed
  • Drive and safely transport children to activities and appointments as needed
  • Travel with the family occasionally as needed

Qualifications

  • Genuine warmth, flexibility, and a team-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Confident swimming skills
  • Comfortable working as part of a larger household team
  • Reliable, punctual, adaptable, and detail oriented
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic household where needs may evolve over time
  • Bilingual strongly preferred (Spanish, French, or Italian)
  • Genuinely invested in building a long-term relationship with the family, not seeking a short-term placement

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional nanny experience
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Experience with infants and young children
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Full legal eligibility to work in the United States
  • Strong verifiable references
  • Open to occasional travel with the family
  • Must be comfortable with dogs

Salary and Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
  • Paid time off and sick days offered
  • Housing arrangement (live-in or live-out) to be discussed based on candidate fit
