At Gogo, we're transforming how people stay connected in the sky. As a leader in business aviation connectivity, we build and support the technologies that keep aircraft, operators, and passengers connected around the world.
As our Senior Network Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting Gogo's global network infrastructure. You'll work closely with Technical Operations, Network Engineering, Security, and cross-functional business teams to deliver highly available, secure, and scalable network solutions that support both commercial and government operations worldwide.
If you're someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about building reliable enterprise networks, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise and enclave network infrastructure supporting global and mission-critical operations.
- Develop and execute network modernization initiatives that improve scalability, performance, reliability, and security across Gogo's global infrastructure.
- Build and maintain secure private network environments supporting worldwide Points of Presence (PoPs) and specialized government and military operations.
- Partner with Security, Operations, and Engineering teams to ensure high availability, redundancy, and operational excellence across global network environments.
- Create and maintain detailed network architecture documentation, diagrams, standards, and implementation plans.
- Manage large-scale IP address management (IPAM) environments and network resource allocation.
- Research emerging technologies, conduct proof-of-concept testing, and recommend solutions that drive operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Support infrastructure refreshes, upgrades, and expansion projects aligned with business growth objectives.
- Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs), manage vendor relationships, and oversee licensing, renewals, and lifecycle planning for network technologies.
- Install, configure, and support routers, switches, firewalls, and virtual networking platforms across geographically distributed environments.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Provide operational support for critical incidents, including participation in after-hours maintenance and emergency response activities.
- Implement and maintain network security controls, firewall policies, VPN solutions, and authentication systems.
- Identify opportunities to optimize infrastructure performance, improve automation, and reduce CAPEX and OPEX expenditures.
- Mentor team members and contribute to knowledge sharing, technical training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
- Demonstrated expertise with Cisco networking platforms, including ISR, Nexus, NCS, and ASR technologies.
- Strong experience with Cisco operating systems, including IOS-XE, IOS-XR, and NX-OS.
- Hands-on experience managing Palo Alto firewalls and PAN-OS environments.

- Experience supporting large-scale LAN/WAN environments in highly available enterprise networks.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex networking, security, and infrastructure issues.
- Strong documentation, architecture, and network design skills using tools such as Visio, NetBox, or phpIPAM.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to participate in after-hours maintenance activities and support critical network events when required.
Even Better If You Have
You don't need to check every box below. If you bring experience in some of these areas, we'd especially like to hear from you:
- Cisco CCNP Enterprise, CCDP, or comparable advanced networking certifications.
- Experience supporting telecommunications, aviation, or government network environments.
- Familiarity with Linux systems, including Rocky Linux and Fedora.
