As QHSE Specialist Benelux, you help ensure that our operations across the Netherlands and Belgium are safe, compliant, sustainable and continuously improving. You connect global and regional QHSE standards with day-to-day local practice and work closely with colleagues across products, functions and locations.

You will interact with internal departments, suppliers, regulatory bodies, quality institutions and external consultants to advance our quality, health and safety, environmental and energy-management goals. You report to the Managing Director Benelux and collaborate closely with the country organization and the Head of Regional QHSE.

 
 

About the Job

  • Maintain compliance with Benelux legislation, permits and certifications, including AEO-C, ISO, B-erkenning and Regulated Agent requirements.
  • Implement and maintain the Integrated Management System in line with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 50001 and global and regional QHSE standards.
  • Plan and conduct internal, external, customer and supplier audits covering procedures, documentation, equipment, licences, PPE and safe working practices.
  • Manage risk assessments, hazard and environmental-impact analyses, CAPA, complaints and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate the Dutch RI&E, annual health and safety plan and Benelux accident register, while serving as the contact for ARBO and the external confidential adviser.
  • Support sector-specific standards, including VDA 6.2 and FMEA/8D, EU-cGDP, HACCP and SQAS.
  • Monitor environmental and energy performance, report building consumption and develop local initiatives aligned with company strategy and ESG guidelines.
  • Translate QHSE requirements into practical procedures and strengthen awareness through guidance, training, workshops and e-learning.
  • Work with local teams, Regional QHSE Management, suppliers, consultants and authorities to drive compliance, continuous improvement and a strong QHSE culture.

About You

  • At least five years of experience in a comparable QHSE, quality or compliance role.
  • Qualification as an internal auditor for an Integrated Management System or relevant ISO standards, or willingness to complete this training.
  • Proven experience implementing and auditing ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 50001.
  • Knowledge of Benelux regulations relating to environment, health and safety, dangerous goods, GDP and automotive operations.
  • Understanding of logistics products such as air freight, sea freight and road transport, as well as relevant permits and certifications.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with KPI-based reporting, risk assessment and strategic planning.
  • A proactive, self-managing approach and the confidence to challenge constructively and turn ideas into action.
  • Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • A collaborative mindset and experience working with cross-functional, multicultural teams.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
