Steel Structure Engineer

Work Location: Miri / Bintulu

Contract duration: 1 year contract

Qualification:

• Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant engineering and commissioning experience, including at least 3 years in a similar position.
• Experience in structural engineering, particularly steel structures for oil and gas facilities, is preferred.

Professional skill

• Proficient in interpreting structural drawings and structural cutting plans.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering calculations, design verification, and offshore lifting analysis.
• Familiar with offshore hook-up and commissioning activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical coordination skills.

Responsibility

• Perform structural design analysis and engineering calculations for steel structures in offshore oil and gas facilities.
• Review structural drawings and structural cutting plans to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Carry out engineering calculations and verifications, including lifting analyses for offshore lifting operations.
• Establish soft mooring parameters and verify gangway procedures.
• Prepare job cards, work packs, and other engineering documentation for Hook-Up and Commissioning (HUC) activities.
• Provide on-site engineering support and perform fieldwork during HUC execution.
• Ensure all structural engineering activities comply with applicable project specifications, company standards, and safety requirements.
