Overview

A warm and busy family in North Miami is seeking an experienced, professional Housekeeper to join their household on a long-term basis. The family has 2 children and a home of approximately 2,500 square feet with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an office, and a guest room. The mother is home during the day, so the ideal candidate is someone who works independently, carries themselves with professionalism, and does not need to be entertained or directed. No pets. This family is looking for the right long-term fit and wants someone who will grow with them.

 

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. The family is flexible on hours while settling into a routine. 

Responsibilities

• Full housekeeping and maintenance of a 2,500 square foot home
• High volume laundry including steaming, ironing, proper garment care, careful hanging, and putting everything away
• Keeping the home consistently neat, tidy, and organized
• Cooking healthy family dinners; nothing too difficult
• All cooking must be free of tomatoes and pistachios due to household allergies
• Light project-based work such as going through clothing during family travel periods

Qualifications

• Experienced with high volume laundry, garment care, steaming, and ironing
• Comfortable cooking healthy, simple meals for a family
• Works independently and professionally without needing direction
• Kind and warm in personality while maintaining professional boundaries
• Fluent English speaker required

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional housekeeping experience in a private home
• Strong verifiable references from comparable private household roles
• Long-term employment history preferred; candidates with a pattern of short-term roles will not be considered
• Valid US work authorization
• Valid Driver’s License

Salary and Benefits

• $40 to $45 per hour based on experience
