About the Role

Service Stream Traffic Management is seeking an experienced and highly organised Traffic Scheduler to join our growing Traffic Management team based in Dandenong South, Victoria.

This is an excellent opportunity for an operational office environment while remaining involved in delivering high-quality traffic management solutions.

Reporting to the Traffic Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in coordinating traffic management activities, scheduling resources, supporting operational teams and ensuring the successful delivery of works across multiple client networks and projects.


Key Responsibilities

As the Traffic Scheduler, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, costing and coordinating Traffic Management works.
  • Managing daily bookings, schedules and resource allocations.
  • Coordinating traffic controllers, vehicles, equipment and subcontractors.
  • Scheduling and monitoring work orders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on time.
  • Overseeing daily operational activities and responding to changing priorities.
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of major events and traffic management projects.
  • Preparing operational reports and providing updates to management.
  • Managing timesheets and administrative requirements.
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), Australian Standards, AGTTM requirements, Codes of Practice and company procedures.
  • Reporting incidents, operational issues and safety concerns as required.
  • Supporting weekend works and major events when operational requirements demand.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Previous experience in Traffic Management, scheduling, workforce coordination or operational planning.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience within the Traffic Management industry.
  • Strong understanding of Traffic Management practices, procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a professional approach.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong computer literacy and data-entry skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to perform under pressure while maintaining safety, quality and service standards.

Mandatory Requirements

The successful applicant must:

  • Hold current Traffic Management qualifications and tickets relevant to the role.
  • Have a solid understanding of Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), traffic guidance schemes and operational deployment requirements.
  • Hold a current Construction Induction Card (White Card).
  • Be legally entitled to work in Australia.
  • Previous scheduling or workforce planning experience.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Experience coordinating major events and large-scale traffic management projects.
  • Knowledge of AGTTM, AS1742.3 and Victorian Traffic Management requirements.
  • Experience using scheduling, rostering or workforce management systems.
  • Be available to work flexible hours and weekends when required for major events and operational activities.
  • Have reliable attendance and a professional work ethic.
