POSITION SUMMARY

The Retail Group Supervisor supports the daily operations and guest service performance of multiple Stratton Mountain Resort retail locations. This role provides hands-on leadership to frontline retail teams, ensuring efficient store operations, adherence to Stratton’s service standards, and achievement of sales goals. The Retail Group Supervisor assists the Group Manager with staffing, scheduling, training, and inventory oversight, while modeling professionalism and accountability across all locations.


This is a benefit eligible, full-time year-round role. The compensation range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hour, based on experience.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Support the execution of daily operations across multiple retail locations, ensuring consistent service and operational excellence.
  • Supervise and assist retail associates during shifts; provide direction, coaching, and real-time feedback to maintain productivity and service quality.
  • Create and manage weekly staff schedules; review and verify timecards and assist with payroll processes.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling procedures, store security, and protection of assets and inventory.
  • Deliver and model exceptional guest service, maintaining a friendly and engaging environment in all stores.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, management, and guests to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and training of new team members; assist in conducting performance evaluations.
  • Support staff development through consistent coaching, mentoring, and participation in training sessions.
  • Oversee inventory management functions including counts, reconciliation, transfers, and loss prevention.
  • Engage with guests to identify product needs and feedback; collaborate with buyers and managers on inventory and merchandising adjustments.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with vendors, peers, and other departments to support overall resort retail objectives.
  • Monitor compliance with safety policies and promote a culture of workplace safety and accountability.
  • Assist with visual merchandising and ensure that presentation standards reflect brand and resort expectations.
  • Attend meetings, communicate operational updates, and help align team goals with department and resort objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of retail and cash-handling experience required.
  • Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
  • Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort learning new POS or retail systems.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Occasional local or regional travel may be required for training, meetings, or vendor relations.
