Description
Our client has experienced continued growth within their Texas Workers' Compensation business and looking to add a Workers’ Compensation Claims Supervisor to oversee daily claims activities and provide technical support to a team of Workers’ Compensation professionals handling Texas files. This opportunity is well-suited for an individual with extensive claims experience who enjoys helping others succeed, resolving challenging claims issues, and maintaining high standards of claims administration.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Texas Workers’ Compensation law, including complex exposures, litigation, reserving, and settlement practices. This position focuses on team leadership, quality assurance, and operational support rather than maintaining an individual claims inventory. Qualified candidates will have the ability to work remote but must reside in Texas.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily leadership and guidance to a team of Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiners and claims support personnel.
- Assist with coordinating team assignments, balancing workloads, and maintaining efficient claims operations.
- Serve as a technical resource for claims involving complex medical issues, indemnity benefits, litigation, and settlement negotiations.
- Evaluate claim files for accuracy, appropriate reserving, thorough investigations, and effective resolution strategies.
- Monitor claim activity, outstanding tasks, and examiner performance to promote timely claim progression.
- Assist team members with interpreting Workers’ Compensation regulations, coverage provisions, and claims-related requirements.
- Review requests for increased reserves and settlement approvals within designated authority levels.
Qualifications
- 5-8+ years of Workers’ Compensation claims handling experience, preferably involving complex and litigated claims.
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience, overseeing claims examiners
- Must hold an active TX adjusters license.
- Currently reside in Texas.
- Strong knowledge of Workers’ Compensation laws, medical terminology, claims investigations, and benefit administration.
- Experience reviewing reserves, evaluating claim exposures, and assisting with settlement decisions.
- Ability to provide technical direction and mentorship to claims professionals at varying experience levels.

- $95,000 - $115,000 annually plus 10-20% bonus
