Role summary
We are seeking a motivated Software Development Intern to join our Enterprise AI team. This role provides hands-on experience developing intelligent applications, AI agents, automation solutions, and data integrations that bring AI capabilities into real business workflows. The intern will work alongside engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to build, enhance, and support web applications, custom applications, cloud-hosted AI services, and analytics solutions. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with foundational programming skills and a passion for learning in a dynamic technical environment.
Role expectations
- Assist in the development and enhancement of web applications and custom applications that support enterprise AI enablement and employee self-service.
- Support the development, testing, and troubleshooting of AI agents and intelligent automation solutions deployed on cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions that drive AI adoption across the enterprise.
- Write, test, and maintain code primarily in Python and/or JavaScript, following structured development lifecycle practices from development through production.
- Develop and maintain data integrations and ETL processes using cloud services, APIs, and relational databases to support analytics and reporting.
- Contribute to AI usage analytics and reporting solutions, including data modeling and dashboard development.
- Support API and integration development connecting custom agents to enterprise systems and cloud-hosted infrastructure on platforms such as Azure and AWS (e.g., Bedrock).
- Assist with environment provisioning, solution migration, and promotion across development, test, and production environments.
- Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, code reviews, and creation of technical documentation and user guides.
- Stay current with emerging trends in generative AI, LLMs, intelligent agents, and enterprise software development.
What we're looking for
Typically:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, AI, or a related technical field. At least 80% advanced in the program.
- Python coding experience; familiarity with JavaScript is a plus.
- Basic understanding of SQL Server, relational databases, and REST APIs.
- Understanding of software development principles and version control systems (e.g., Git/GitHub).
- Proficient in English language, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability to allocate 24+ hours per week to the internship.

- Note: This internship is on-site only (no Work From Home options).
Plus:
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar.
- Experience or familiarity with generative AI concepts, LLMs, prompt engineering, or RAG.
- Experience with enterprise copilot tools, AI agent development platforms, or low-code automation solutions.
- Experience with data analytics, ETL processes, API integrations, or business intelligence dashboards.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices, automated testing, or agile development methodologies.
