UW Medical Center-Montlake - Center for Reproductive Health and Fertility (CRHF) has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Full time / 100% FTE
- Monday-Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm, plus call
- Must be available to work 1-2 Saturdays or Sundays per month (typically 3-6 hours at a time)
- Holiday coverage will be required 1-3 times a year
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Center for Reproductive Health and Fertility (CRHF) offers comprehensive care for individuals and couples of all backgrounds who are trying to conceive. Our services include hormone replacement therapy, fertility preservation, genetic testing, infertility testing, IVF, and donor and gestational carrier cycle coordination. Our clinic is a designated LIVESTRONG Consortium member. This is a great opportunity to join a team that provides compassionate, personalized care to our community.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage patient flow through cycles of ovulation induction, artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization, and frozen embryo transfers
- Provide procedural support during sonographic egg retrievals and similar IVF processes
- Receive and communicate lab test results to physicians and patients
- Support patients who are undergoing hormone replacement therapy
- Provide care coordination services to our community partners, including Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and Seattle Children’s Hospital
- Manage pre-authorizations and referrals
- Provide welcoming care to individuals of all backgrounds, including single parents, LGBTQ couples, medically high-risk patients, and patients seeking elective fertility preservation
- Help coordinate third party cycles and patients - this can include donor embryo, donor sperm, donor egg, and gestational carrier patients
REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years of recent women’s health, fertility, or procedural nursing experience
- Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
- BLS Certification
- Previous experience utilizing Epic
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
