About the role

Job Purpose

The Senior Technical Project Manager will lead and coordinate the Evolution Platform Operations and Move2Scale program, ensuring stable day-to-day platform operations while driving the transition, industrialization, automation, and scaling of services across environments. The role will act as the single point of coordination for technical delivery, operational readiness, risks, dependencies, milestones, and transformation activities.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

• 10+ years of experience in IT/technology delivery.
• 8+ years in Technical Project Management / Program Management.
• Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure, cloud, platform or transformation programs.
• Experience managing technical teams across multiple disciplines.
• Strong understanding of Cloud, DevOps, Automation and Operations.
• Experience with production environments and service transition.
• Strong experience in risk, dependency and stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred:

• PMP / PRINCE2 / SAFe / Scrum certification.
• ITIL certification.

• Ensure stable, reliable and efficient Evolution Platform operations.
• Lead Move2Scale initiatives from planning through implementation and transition to operations.
• Drive automation, standardization and industrialization of platform operations.
• Coordinate multiple technical teams and suppliers across the delivery lifecycle.
• Ensure that new capabilities are production-ready, supportable and aligned with operational standards.
• Proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies and technical debt.
• Establish transparent program governance, KPIs and executive reporting.
• Continuously improve platform availability, resilience, performance, security and operational efficiency.

Governance & Stakeholder Management:

• Act as the primary coordination point between technical and business stakeholders.
• Conduct regular steering committees and governance reviews.
• Provide concise executive-level reporting on status, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Escalate critical risks and decisions in a timely manner.
• Drive decision-making across teams where ownership is distributed.

Technical Project & Program Management

• Lead complex technical projects across Evolution Platform and Move2Scale.
• Define scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables and success criteria.
• Build and maintain integrated project/program plans.
• Manage dependencies across Cloud, Network, DevOps, Automation, Security, Application and Operations teams.
• Drive execution through Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodologies where applicable.
• Establish clear ownership and accountability across workstreams.

Technical PM – Experience & Competencies

• Proven experience in technical project/program management with strong exposure to Cloud, Platform Engineering, DevOps and IT Operations.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex technology transformation, migration, modernization and scale-up programs across multiple technical teams.
• Experience managing production platform operations, including Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Capacity, Availability and Service Management processes.
• Proven experience in managing service transition and operational readiness, ensuring smooth movement of solutions from project delivery into BAU operations.
• Experience leading migration waves, cutover planning, go-live activities, rollback planning and post-production stabilization.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional technical teams comprising Cloud, DevOps, Network, Security, Application, Architecture and Operations specialists.
• Strong experience in Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog management, PI planning, dependency management and delivery tracking using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to establish and manage program governance, including milestones, KPIs, technical risks, dependencies, decisions and executive reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to identify technical and operational risks early, develop mitigation/contingency strategies and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Experience in managing technical dependencies across multiple projects, platforms, suppliers and geographically distributed teams.
• Prior experience in technical estimation, resource planning, capacity planning, roadmap development and delivery planning for complex technology initiatives.
• Experience in preparing technical proposals, delivery approaches, effort estimates, business cases and transformation roadmaps.
• Strong experience in stakeholder management, with the ability to communicate effectively with Engineering, Architecture, Operations, Product, Business and Senior Management.
• Ability to translate business objectives into technical delivery plans, measurable outcomes and actionable workstreams.
• Demonstrated ability to use data and KPIs to identify operational improvement opportunities, measure program performance and support management decisions.
• Strong understanding of production readiness, operational acceptance criteria, monitoring, support models, runbooks and knowledge transfer.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
