Description
Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and energized by helping a sales team operate at its best? Do you enjoy improving processes, keeping data accurate, and making sure the details behind every deal are handled smoothly?
IdeaTek is looking for a Business Sales Coordinator to support the business sales manager and broader sales team by driving operational efficiency across the sales process. In this role, you’ll help keep reporting accurate, CRM activity clean, proposals and service agreements moving, and customer handoffs seamless.
You’ll serve as a key connection point between sales, customer success, and other internal teams—helping remove administrative friction so our sales representatives can stay focused on building relationships and growing revenue.
A Day in the Life
Your day may start by reviewing pipeline data, compiling forecast updates, or checking that sales opportunities are moving through the right CRM stages. From there, you might prepare a proposal, help route a service agreement through legal, coordinate onboarding for a new sales hire, or make sure a newly closed account is transferred cleanly to customer success.
You’ll balance reporting, deal support, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination throughout the day. Your ability to stay organized, spot gaps, and keep information moving will help the business sales team operate more efficiently and create a better experience for customers after the sale.
What You’ll Do
Key responsibilities include:
- Compile weekly and monthly sales forecasts, activity reports, and pipeline updates for sales leadership.
- Support the administrative side of the sales process, including drafting proposals, service agreements, and E-Rate bids.
- Coordinate service agreements through internal review and legal modification processes.
- Monitor CRM workflows, deal stages, and data-entry standards to improve pipeline accuracy and reporting.
- Maintain clean, accurate customer and account records within the CRM.
- Submit completed sales orders and help ensure pipeline information remains current and accurate.
- Coordinate team meetings, onboarding schedules, and training for new sales hires on internal tools and sales processes.
- Ensure customer requirements, pre-sale commitments, and contract details are clearly documented for customer success.
- Route implementation roadblocks and post-sale account issues to the appropriate internal teams.
- Help develop and improve SOPs, workflows, and processes that increase team efficiency and scalability.
What We’re Looking For
To be considered for this role, you’ll need the following required qualifications:
- 2–4 years of experience in sales operations, sales coordination, or administrative support within a B2B environment.
- Experience working with CRM systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace tools (ex. Excel and/or Google Sheets)
- Experience with electronic signature tools such as DocuSign or similar platforms.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across departments and keep stakeholders aligned.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to identify gaps and help drive solutions.
- Ability to handle sensitive customer and business information with professionalism.
What Will Help You Stand Out
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting a B2B sales team or sales leadership.
- Experience with proposal development, service agreements, or contract coordination.
