Join Our Team: Vocational Trainer (Job Coach)

Are you ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with special needs? Join EXCEED, where we are dedicated to empowering individuals with special abilities to develop workplace skills, increase independence, and achieve their employment goals.

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate Vocational Trainer (Job Coach) to provide hands-on employment support to individuals in community-based workplace settings.

This is a community-based position and is not primarily office- or center-based. Vocational Trainers travel throughout the community in their personal vehicle to support clients at their individual job sites and may work with multiple clients at different locations during a single shift. EXCEED provides employment services throughout multiple cities within Riverside County and portions of San Bernardino County, so regular local travel between client and employer locations is an essential part of this position.

The Vocational Trainer provides individualized coaching and hands-on training in job duties, equipment use, workplace expectations, and safety. Responsibilities may also include coordinating employment supports, assisting with transportation needs, and supporting job development activities.

Vocational Trainers help develop client goals and assessments, document progress, implement behavior support strategies, communicate with employers and the program team, and advocate for clients in the workplace. This position plays an important role in promoting independence, building confidence, and helping each individual succeed in employment through a person-centered approach.
