Job Overview
The Quality Lead is a senior-level role within the quality team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the quality team, including Quality Seniors and Technicians. This position plays a critical role in driving quality excellence by providing leadership, strategic direction, and technical expertise. The Quality Lead ensures that quality systems are effectively implemented, standards are consistently met, and continuous improvement initiatives are actively pursued.
In addition to managing personnel and workflows, the Quality Lead collaborates cross-functionally with production, engineering, and leadership teams to resolve complex quality issues, monitor key performance indicators, and uphold compliance with internal and external standards. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Highlights of your role
- Lead and develop Quality Seniors and Technicians to support daily quality operations.
- Coordinate team priorities, staffing, and communication across shifts.
- Drive quality system improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor quality metrics and lead corrective actions to improve performance.
- Support complex quality investigations and resolution of nonconforming product issues.
- Train and certify quality personnel while building team capabilities.
- Partner with Production, Engineering, and Leadership to achieve quality objectives.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, documentation requirements, and audit readiness.
- Communicate quality performance and promote a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
- High School degree or GED preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing environment or prior quality experience preferred
- Enjoy flexibility and have strong communication skills
