The Opportunity

Looking for more than a ticket queue?
Central Oregon Pediatric Associates (COPA) is seeking a Senior Systems and Network Administrator to help lead and improve the technology that supports our clinics, providers, and staff across Central Oregon.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and solving problems from start to finish. You'll lead projects, support critical systems, partner with technology vendors, and help strengthen COPA's internal IT capabilities while ensuring our technology environment remains secure, reliable, and efficient.
This position is primarily remote, with regular onsite work for deployments, projects, troubleshooting, and collaboration with clinic teams.
The Company
Central Oregon Pediatric Associates (COPA) has been caring for kids and families in Central Oregon for over 50 years, building lifelong relationships and helping children thrive from newborns to teens. Our mission is to provide exceptional, right-fit care for kids at every age and stage, and our vision is to improve the health of all kids in our community. We do this in a welcoming, inclusive environment where collaboration, openness, play and accountability are part of how we care, not just what we do. At COPA, you’ll work alongside people who value kindness, teamwork, and earning families’ trust every single day.
What You'll Own
- Projects, start to finish: Scope, build, and launch infrastructure and communications projects, starting with a new phone system implementation.
- On-site support that matters: Deploy hardware, troubleshoot issues, and onboard and offboard employees. You're the person people are glad to see walk in.
- Vendor partnerships: Work hand in hand with our managed service provider and third-party security partners as their primary point of contact. Make sure commitments are met and know when to escalate.
- Technology decisions: Research and recommend hardware, software, and process improvements that help us work smarter and more securely.
- Security and access: Support user access, asset management, security initiatives, and technology best practices across the organization.
- Documentation: Keep clear, current records of systems and processes so what you build lasts.
- Automation: Find repetitive work and engineer it away. We welcome people who build smarter ways of doing things.
- Continuous improvement: Help us strengthen our internal technology capabilities and build sustainable processes for the future.
Who Thrives Here
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and solving problems from start to finish. One day you might be leading a technology deployment, while another day you’re improving a workflow, working with a vendor, supporting a provider, or implementing a change that impacts the entire organization. The ideal candidate is curious and self-directed, comfortable learning new technologies, and able to communicate technical concepts clearly. They thrive both independently and collaboratively, are motivated by building better systems and processes, and focus on addressing root causes rather than just symptoms.
Why You'll Like It Here
- Real variety: No two weeks look the same.
- Real ownership: Your projects are yours, and your recommendations help shape how we work.
- A solid foundation: We've invested heavily in modern technology, security, and infrastructure. Your role is to optimize it, improve it, and help guide where we go next.
- Backup when you need it: Our managed service provider supports day-to-day operations, so you're never carrying everything alone.
- Room to grow: We're committed to building internal technology capabilities, giving you the opportunity to make a lasting impact.
- Mission-driven work: Everything we do supports the physicians, staff, children, and families who rely on us every day.
- Direct line to leadership: You'll report to the Director of Finance, so decisions move fast and good ideas can become reality.
