Day‑to‑Day Ingredients — Responsibilities
As a Restaurant Porter, you will:
- Keep dining rooms, restrooms, kitchens, entrances, and parking areas clean, safe, and guest‑ready.
- Perform cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance tasks that support smooth restaurant operations.
- Maintain food production equipment, utensils, and work areas according to cleaning standards.
- Safely handle cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment.
- Quickly address spills and potential safety concerns to help prevent accidents.
- Monitor restaurant conditions and notify management of equipment issues or facility concerns.
- Dispose of waste properly and help maintain an organized restaurant environment.
- Work alongside your team to uphold Whataburger's standards for cleanliness, safety, and hospitality.
What You Bring to the Table — Required Experience
As a Restaurant Porter, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Bring a positive attitude and passion for serving people.
- Thrive in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Follow safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
- Meet the physical demands of the role, including standing for an entire shift and lifting up to 55 lbs.undefined
Where & How You’ll Work
This role is based in your home restaurant, where you’ll spend most of your time with your team supporting daily operations. At times, you may be asked to assist at neighboring locations.
