Position: EHS Advisor Meath

Our client is a leading construction company with a strong focus on safety, sustainability, and quality. We are currently seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Advisor to join our team in Meath. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and growing company, and to play a key role in ensuring the success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on all EHS matters, including risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employees
  • Maintain accurate records of all EHS activities, including incident reports, inspections, and training records
  • Stay up-to-date on all relevant EHS regulations and industry best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all EHS requirements
  • Participate in project planning and design to ensure that EHS considerations are integrated into all stages of the project
  • Identify and implement sustainability initiatives to minimize the environmental impact of our projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar EHS role, preferably in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering EHS training programs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
  • Willingness to travel to project sites across Leinster as required
  • Professional certification in EHS (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred but not required

Location:

This role is based in our Head Office in Ashbourne, Co. Meath, with projects located mainly across Leinster. However, some travel to project sites may be required.
