Senior Global Sales Support Specialist
The GDT Senior Global Sales Support Specialist partners closely with Account Executives to support and grow GDT’s international business while delivering an exceptional customer experience across a global client base. This role is responsible for facilitating daily pre-sales and post-sales operations, coordinating complex international transactions, and serving as a trusted operational advisor to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
Global Sales & Operational Support
- Provide operational support to assigned Account Executives and global customers throughout the pre-sales and post-sales lifecycle.
- Advise Account Executives and clients on international procurement models, country-specific requirements, and global delivery considerations.
- Set expectations with clients regarding regional procurement, compliance, logistics, and operational challenges.
- Serve as a primary global point of contact for customer operational and sales support activities.
- Develop creative solutions for complex or non-standard customer requirements based on GDT’s global capabilities.
Quoting, Pricing & Order Management
- Build quote configurations in Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW) and other OEM quoting platforms.
- Submit global deal registrations and coordinate vendor pricing approvals.
- Prepare customer quotes and process purchase orders within SAP.
- Negotiate pricing and confirm product availability with distributors, vendors, and suppliers globally.
- Coordinate order processing, procurement activities, and delivery timelines with logistics and purchasing teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve pricing, procurement, and order management issues with urgency and professionalism.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Logistics, Finance, Accounts Payable, Legal, and Operations, to support customer requirements.
- Complete and maintain international RFQs, RFP documentation, quote-to-order trackers, and operational reporting.
- Support return material authorization (RMA) processes, expense reporting, commission reporting, and aging reports.
- Lead operational review calls and customer meetings as required.
- Address escalations promptly while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Competencies
- 5+ years of experience in global sales support, international operations, or related roles within the IT industry preferred.
- Experience working in a VAR, distributor, or OEM environment preferred.
- Strong experience with Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW) required.
- Experience with OEM quoting tools and partner portals preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, advanced formatting) and Outlook.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a global business environment.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible, adaptable, and team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong sense of ownership.
- Professional presence and polished communication skills.
