Fun, Engaging Nanny/Family Assistant Needed in Los Altos

Description

A family in Los Altos is seeking a Nanny/Family Assistant to help with household tasks and childcare for their two children ages 3 (boy) and 5 (girl) years old. Responsibilities include engaging with the children, driving to/from school and activities, and light tidying, cooking and laundry for the family. Their ideal person is warm, fun, and has previous experience working with toddlers and early-school age children. Candidates should have an excellent DMV record with a reliable vehicle (family will reimburse for mileage) and experience driving children.

The schedule is Monday-Tuesday-Thursday 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. + Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (26 hours per week).

Experience Requirements

• 3 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English
• Fluency in Mandarin (nice to have, not required)

Qualifications

• COVID vaccinated
• TB and Tdap
• CPR
• Valid driver with clean record and reliable vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for mileage)
• Experienced with toddlers and early school-age children
• Warm, fun
• Can provide flexibility regarding the schedule
• Playful and engaging
• Firm but loving and kind
• Excellent communication
• Can make at least a year commitment

Responsibilities

• Driving to/from school and activities
• Engaging in play and planning activities
• Family laundry
• Meal prep
• Prepare simple healthy meals for the children and/or family
• Occasional errands
• Light tidying (children's rooms, common areas, kitchen, load/unload dishwasher)
