Pay Rate: $21 - $25 per hour

Position Overview
The Forklift Driver plays a critical role in supporting the safe and efficient movement of materials, products, and inventory within our Organic Beef Manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for operating powered industrial equipment, loading and unloading materials, maintaining accurate product movement, and supporting warehouse and production activities while following all safety, quality, and operational procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, a commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Safely drive a forklift; perform basic operations such as driving forward and backward, lifting, and lowering the boom, and maneuvering in tight areas without causing damage while following all safety regulations.
- Working with a racking system and loading and unloading pallets, pulling, and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks while maximizing storage by stacking vertically.
- Using an electronic Warehouse Management System to manage and control inventory.
- Maintain a safe and orderly storage area for products
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned area
- Maintain records of daily checklist (pre-trip inspection)
- Inspect all incoming products for damage
- Sort inbound boxes by type
- Restack, rewrap and repair pallets as needed with careful regard for the product
- Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
- Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
- Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
- Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
- Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
- Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
- Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.

Summary of Experience and Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to multitask and communicate with personnel of all levels and cultural backgrounds.
- Meat processing plant & High packaging line experience
- OEE Software experience preferred
- Strong work ethic, communication skills in English, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely across departments
- Ability to maintain a safe work environment and follow safety rules, SOPs, and GMP guidelines set in place
- Superior standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety
- Possess a team-oriented approach to tasks
- Ability to work in a cold environment (27*F- 45*F)
- Understand and abide by all safety regulations as well as policies and procedures set forth by Verde Farms
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test

- Bilingual in Spanish (is a plus, not a requirement)
