About YouGov Shopper, part of YouGov Group
YouGov is the most quoted market research company in the world. YouGov was founded in 2000 and is a pioneer of online polling. We take pride in our accuracy, and we’re trusted by the world’s biggest brands to get it right, making us the most quoted pollster in the world. Shopper is a unique market research company based on a households panel, operating in 18 European countries. At Shopper Austria, we use data to provide strategic advice on purchasing behavior, trends, and developments to various players in the grocery sector, aiming to advance the industry in both Austria and Switzerland.
Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):
Working on article classification in close collaboration with our specialists, to whom you will report regularly.
Research information about articles, retailers, and receipts supporting our operations and technology teams.
Combining automated data processing with human research and judgement to continuously improve the quality and accuracy of our data.
Contribute to the creation of new procedures and technology to interpret purchase receipts.
These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program and have at least one year remaining in your studies.
You speak German and English fluently (French and/or Italian skills would be a welcome bonus, but not mandatory).
Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Reliable, structured, and detail-oriented person who takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
Curious about consumer behavior, FMCG products, retailers, and how brands and retailers shape markets. This interest can come from many different backgrounds, whether through studies, work experience, travelling, personal interests, or simply a fascination with how people shop and make purchasing decisions.
Strong analytical skills, eager to learn, and enjoy exploring new topics and approaches.
You communicate clearly, enjoy working with others, and are comfortable collaborating across teams.
What you’ll gain by joining our team:
Flexible working hours, flextime and generous home office options, allowing to adapt your workload around exam periods while taking on more hours during busier phases.
Monthly gross salary starting from €1,250, aligned with previous experience and qualifications.
Attractive benefits (free coffee/tea/cookies, fruit basket, meal allowance, discounts via company arrangements, running events).
Hands-on exposure to market research, retail analytics, consumer behavior, and the FMCG industry.
The opportunity to work closely with specialists across operations, technology, research, and consulting, gaining practical experience in how data is transformed into business insights and consumer understanding. An excellent steppingstone into market research, analytics, consulting, retail and FMCG.
