Sales Development Representative
What Will You Contribute?
This is an exciting lead generation opportunity for someone interested in building a sales career within a leading financial services software organization. As a Sales Development Representative, you will play an important role in fueling top-of-funnel pipeline growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential customers.
In this role, you will act as a key connection point between Marketing and Sales, supporting inbound and outbound lead generation activities for the Payments business. You will help qualify new business opportunities, engage prospects through phone, email, social, and other outreach channels, and partner with Sales Executives to support pipeline development for the assigned region.
This role is well suited for someone who is early in their sales career, highly motivated, confident in communicating with others, and eager to learn. The ideal candidate is coachable, resilient, analytical, and comfortable working in a metrics-driven environment where consistent outreach, follow-up, and relationship-building are essential to success.
Responsibilities & Deliverables
Generate and qualify new and existing leads through inbound and outbound channels.
Support top-of-funnel pipeline growth by conducting early-stage prospecting and qualification activities.
Conduct outreach through phone, email, social media, and other channels to engage potential prospects.
Support digital campaign, field marketing, and other lead sources by following up on Marketing Qualified Leads and helping progress them through the funnel.
Maintain active engagement with leads to increase interest in Finastra’s offerings and value propositions.
Research accounts and contacts to identify fit, interest, business needs, and potential buying signals.
Partner closely with Sales Executives and Marketing teams to ensure leads are being engaged appropriately and routed effectively.
Collaborate with account executives to qualify leads and support engagement with the right contacts in the right accounts.
Maintain accurate lead, activity, and pipeline information in CRM and sales reporting systems.
Follow inbound process expectations, KPIs, SLAs, and activity targets.
Own and manage lead generation activity, forecasts, and performance reporting through regular sales updates.
Keep up to date with industry trends, competitors, and Finastra products and services.
Participate in training programs as directed by the manager.
Participate in user group meetings, trade shows, or related business events as needed.
Contribute to meeting-setting goals and support the development of new business pipeline.
Use strong follow-up, persistence, and communication skills to engage prospects and support sales opportunities.
Required Experience & Skills
Interest in developing a career in sales, business development, demand generation, or a related commercial function.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English.
Ability to engage prospects confidently through phone, email, social, and other outreach channels.
Comfortable making cold calls and conducting high-volume outreach activities.
Strong curiosity, coachability, and willingness to learn quickly.
Ability to build and nurture relationships with prospects, internal stakeholders, and sales partners.
Strong follow-up skills, persistence, and resilience.
Comfortable working in a metrics-driven environment with pipeline, activity, and lead-generation goals.
Ability to understand basic sales processes, marketing funnels, and lead qualification concepts.
Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate information in CRM or sales reporting systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with CRM tools, sales engagement platforms, or marketing automation tools is helpful but not required.
Previous exposure to sales, sales support, business development, customer-facing work, or business-to-business outreach is helpful but not required.
Banking, finance, payments, software, or financial technology exposure is a plus.
Portuguese language skills are a plus but not required.
Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
This role is based in Guadalajara and is performed in a hybrid office environment (2 days/week in office).
