Description
Our client in the Norcross, GA area is adding a Supplier Quality Inspector - Welding and NDE to their team. This role involves 20% international travel and is a direct hire opportunity with our client. If you or one of your colleagues is interested, please Click Apply Now.
You’ll inspect welded, fabricated, and machined equipment at supplier facilities, both stateside and internationally, to verify compliance with engineering, welding, and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect welded and fabricated components at domestic and international suppliers
- Verify drawings, welding symbols, GD&T, specs, and codes (AWS, ASME, ISO, EN)
- Perform/witness visual inspections, dimensional checks, UT/MT/PT, hardness testing, and coating inspection
- Review WPS, PQR, welder qualifications, and NDE reports
- Identify nonconformances and support corrective actions
- Prepare inspection reports, NCRs, and documentation
- Coordinate with suppliers, engineers, and project teams
- Travel internationally (~20%) to fabrication shops
Requirements:
- 5+ years in fabrication, welding inspection, supplier quality, or industrial manufacturing
- Hands‑on experience inspecting welded/fabricated equipment
- Working knowledge of AWS, ASME, ISO, EN codes
- ISO 9001 experience
- Ability to read fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and GD&T
- Experience with UT, MT, PT, hardness testing, and visual weld inspection
- ERP experience (SAP S/4HANA preferred)
- Ability to travel 20% internationally - Valid US passport
Preferred:
- Degree in Welding, Mechanical/Manufacturing/Materials Engineering
- AWS CWI, CSWIP, or equivalent
- ASNT/ISO 9712 Level II (UT/MT/PT)
