To meet our challenges, we are looking for a Category Specialist – Technical & Indirect within the Procurement team! This position will be located in Mumbai.
Their mission?
The Category Specialist for Capital and MRO Purchases will be responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement of capital, MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) goods/services and SG&A spend for the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and category management principles.
Your experience and talents will make the difference to:
Develop and implement category strategies for capital and MRO purchases that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
Lead procurement activities and operations for Mumbai HO spend across various SG&A categories.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
Develop and manage supplier relationships to ensure high-quality goods and services are delivered on time and at competitive prices.
Monitor and analyze supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the capital and MRO category, including market trends, supplier capabilities, and emerging technologies.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
Develop and maintain procurement metrics to measure and track category performance.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop and maintain annual rate cards for spares and services, in collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers, to ensure competitive pricing and consistency in procurement processes.
Track key commodities like MS Steel, SS Steel, Cement, Copper, and other relevant commodities to monitor market trends, pricing, and availability. Use this information to inform procurement decisions and develop category strategies.
