In this position, you will be joining the Penang Factory Applications Team as an FPGA design applications engineer specializing in high-speed serial interface solutions focusing on Video IPs. You will help revolutionize our customer experience by showcasing our new offerings and supporting our customers in their design success. We value technical excellence, customer focus, integrity, and teamwork. Areas of responsibility for this role include, but not limited to the following:
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide expert guidance to customers and field teams in implementing and optimizing FPGA designs, with strong emphasis on video connectivity and high-speed serial interfaces such as DisplayPort, MIPI or HDMI.
· Lead the definition and execution of resolution strategies for complex customer issues. Provide timely and effective communication across internal teams and customers to drive issue closure and maintain high customer satisfaction.
· Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, example designs, and user guides that enhance customer experience and accelerate adoption of Altera video solutions.
· Collaborate closely with engineering, and marketing teams to align customer requirements with product capabilities, feature roadmap and solution offerings.
· Validate and continuously improve the out-of-box experience for Altera video solutions by verifying video IP design examples, and hardware platforms. · Drive issue resolution to ensure customers can successfully evaluate and deploy solutions with ease.
Qualifications
- BSEE/MSEE or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience in digital design and FPGA development.
- Experience with high-speed serial interface technologies, particularly video protocols and applications such as DisplayPort, MIPI, HDMI, or related video systems.
- Experience in VHDL/Verilog, design verification, timing closure, simulation, software applications (Yocto, ROS), system design and board/hardware debugging is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive complex technical issues to resolution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
